Site information

  • This box provides general information such as the name of the site, the institution managing the site, and their address. In the case of Natura 2000 sites the information are collected directly from triple-store of European Environmental Agency (EEA, e.g. Cres - Lošinj ). For eLTER sites, at the moment, only the title is visible. In both cases, other information can be reached following the link, by cliking on the site name.

Contribute to the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD)

  • This graph shows the site contribution to the MSFD. The parameters listed with the green checked circle represent the parameters monitored in the site that match with those deemed necessary to contribute to the MSFD criteria. The dark blue are all the MSFD criteria to which the parameters can contribute. The lines are meant to represent the connection between the parameters and the criteria.

Selecting one or more parameters or criteria elements , the content of the table below accordingly and dinamically changes.

Parameters measured at the site that can contribute to the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD)

  • The table reproduces the graph above. The parameters monitored and the MSFD criteria. Links to the ECOSS thesaurus for parameters and MSFD criteria are provided.

Contribute to the conservation

  • This graph shows the site contribution to the conservation strategy. Checked circles represent recommended variables currently monitored within the site, while the light blue symbols represent the variables that are not measured yet. Target species protected in the site are represented by the orange icons. Finally, also the protected habitats are shown.

A drop down menu, in the upper left corner of this box, allows to select the different elements (site, species, habitat and ECOSS variables) one by one.

Selecting one or more elements visible in the graph , the content of the tables below accordingly and dinamically changes.

Both, target species and habitat list, on demand from European Environmental Agency (EEA) Linked Data repository are collected.

Target species

  • In this table target species are listed. They are retrieved from the European Environmental Agency (EEA) Linked Data repository. Links to EEA and to unique LSID ( Life Science Identifiers ) represented as a Uniform Resource Name (URN) for all species are provided.

Habitats

  • In this table protected habitats are listed. They are retrieved from the European Environmental Agency (EEA) Linked Data repository. Links to EEA for all habitats are provided.

ECOSS variables (recommended but not measured)

  • The variables not measured and indicated by ECOSS as fundamental for assessing the state of conservation of the specific target species/habitat are listed here. Links to ECOSS thesaurus for all variables are provided.
